The smell of Mexican food lingered in the hallways. As we entered the cafeteria our eyes gazed longingly on the grilled chicken and colorful peppers we would devour. Our mouths started to water when we got close enough to get our trays. The sounds of chattering teenagers filled the air with laughter. Our chicken fajitas would soon be ours for the eating.
